Become a Steel Belt Expert
On 30th Oct., 2009 Berndorf Band, Austria, and their partner Vienna Far East, Thailand, invited guests ranging from the Austrian Trade Commissioner to customers from the Particle/MDF Board Industry, Chemical Industry as well as Food Industry to attend the inauguration of the new Berndorf Band Training Centre South East Asia. A grand total of 42 customers from all kinds of industries took the chance to gain a first impression of the new facilities.
Located at the Thai German Institute (TGI) in Chonburi, Thailand, only 45 minutes from the International Airport in Bangkok, this training and seminar facility offers a wide range of opportunities to attain a better understanding of and more knowledge about steel belts. The main focus of this centre is, of course, the training of professional repair methods to personnel from all types of steel belt users. Next to that also tailor-made seminars & workshops will be held in future – although not bound to the location.
Only certified trainers from Berndorf Band, Austria, will execute basic, advanced and special trainings at new training facilities. The 160 m2 space of the training centre offers room to let four (4) trainees train simultaneously. A steel belt conveyor installed allows the simulation of on-site repairs. Berndorf Band will also use the new facility also for internal training sessions for their Asian service-organisations from India to New Zealand.
“The feedback from our customers was positive throughout the line”, said Mr Dietmar Hoedl, Regional Director from Berndorf Band, responsible for the event. Mr Herbert Schweiger, CEO of Berndorf Band added: “This shows us that our idea of providing know-how and information to elongate the life period of a steel belt is the right way”
Vienna Far East (1987) Co., Ltd., the long-termed partner of Berndorf Band in South East Asia and Pakistan is responsible for the promotion, marketing and coordination of the activities at the Berndorf Band Training Center South East Asia. Dr. Karl Reichstetter, Managing Director of Vienna Far East declared: “We are looking forward to welcome customers from our market area and from whole Asia – the training centre South East Asia will the the perfect expansion to the one in Austria, which exists already since more then 10 years”.
