How do die cutters?
I'm working on a project for which I need to cut several hundred copies of simple) dolls pretty paper pattern (for children craft table. I wonder if I can save time for me and my volunteers to get some kind of machine cutting. I've never done any scrapbook. I will be using some kind of card stock or light cardboard. If I buy a Cutting Machine, I can make my own die the pattern? (I have access to a metal shop may be able to do so.) I've looked at the cut line of machines, but do not quite understand how they work. In addition, many do not indicate the maximum size of a sheet can handle. Any idea will be greatly appreciated! Well, there are manual and electronic / Automatic die cutters. The manual cutting machines have been around longer, and the manufacturer is popular Sizzix. The widget can be a hand, a strong one and has one foot cutting forms. But you have to buy separate forms die. So how it works is that you get cardboard, preferably a small size and the size of a postcard or whatever size fits in the foot. Die cuts down on top of cardboard. And to be cut by either pressing down or a hand roller to press it through, and the shape is cut! As electronic cutters, these are really cool, but really expensive. But personally if you can find some people to split that cost with which it can be a very good investment if you make cards and scrap notes frequently. But buying a machine c die absolute is very expensive, because with a manual that you have to buy die cuts, and electronics is obvious and faster with a lot of features, but like the Cricut machine comes with a cartridge, but you have to buy a good pair of accessories. His best bet is to ask about someone you know who scrapbooks and ask if you can rent your machine. Or if you know of a place in your area that makes scrapbooking classes supplies or sells some really make the cuts for you for a fee. Good luck and have fun with the project!
