Achieve more with plasma cutters

Plasma cutters have been employed to good effect since the 1980s when the technologies used in plasma welding was further evolved to produce a greatly productive technique of cutting sheet and plate metal. In comparison with classic cutting techniques such as using oxy-fuel cutters, plasma cutters have the advantages of not producing metal chips, creating an accurate cut and creating a tidier cut edge The development seen in the power of computers has also since enhanced the plasma cutter technology and its flexibility. Today there are a wide selection of plasma cutters available for sale, varying in complexity and flexibility to different applications.

The plasma cutter is created specifically to slice through sheet or plate metals, namely steel. An inert gas, or pressurised air, is condensed through the plasma cutters nozzle at very high speeds. This will cause an electrical arc to form through the inert gas and make plasma. This plasma is projected from the end of the nozzle onto the surface of the metal that is being cut with enough heat to melt the metal and with sufficient force to eliminate surplus molten metal. Plasma cutters may also gouge plasma employing a different calibration. The customer's requirements with regards to flexibillity will determine which plasma cutter is most suited to them from the large choice available today.

Initially plasma cutters were restricted to basic use in a mass production setting, however computer control technology now means that plasma cutters may be used for much smaller and delicate needs. This, along with the reduced cost of plasma cutters, has opened up the use of the tools to medium and light industries when previously it was only heavy industries making large manufactured goods that could benefit. Though all plasma cutters follow the same pattern, there exists a variation between plasma cutters that are suitable for different uses. As a consequence of number of plasma cutters for sale it is important to conduct appropriate research in advance of choosing a plasma cutter. Plasma cutters have to be suitable for the work that is intended to be carried out with regards to yield, scale, flexibility and accuracy.

Regardless of whether a company is newly established, increasing its current operations or simply replacing old outdated equipment, the range of plasma cutters for sale might be of great interest. As with most equipment available to a company, newer variations of old technology are usually significantly improved with regards to efficency and reliability, allowing for a quicker rate of manufacturing need for repair or replacement. The end result is a place of work with significantly improved productivity and greatly reduced expenditures, delivering clear benefits to the manufacturing business. When selecting from the range of plasma cutters on the market it is important to take such factors into account in order to reduce operating and training costs and maximise efficiency and output. Such factors are essential whether upgrading out of date equipment, broadening business operations or even building a new company from scratch.

What kind of bolt cutter cutterheads will give me the straightest cut?

I need to cut 1" nickel plated soft steel rings that are 4.5MM thick and then weld them back together. How can I get the straightest cut to make the welding easier?

bolt cutters will not give you a straight cut at all, they will leave a tapered edge and more than likely take the shape out of the rings!!you need to use a band saw!! a hot saw or a hot saw blade which is like a thin grinding wheel for cutting steel , they have some that will fit on a circular saw!! it will leave some burs that you will have to file off!! but for a home project that is what i would suggest unless you have access to a torch, a plasma cutter or some industrial cutting equipment!! also the nickel plating will be burnt back quite a bit after you weld them and gring them smooth!! but i would say bolt cutters are definitely not the way to go!! good luck
